Planting & Care

1. Planting:  Choose a location with well-drained, acidic soil and full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring the root collar is level with the soil surface. Water thoroughly after planting.                                                                       

2. Watering:  Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially during dry spells. Water deeply once a week or as needed, ensuring the soil doesn't dry out completely.

3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to encourage healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can cause excessive growth at the expense of blooms.

4. Pruning: Prune in early spring before new growth begins to remove any dead or damaged wood. This tree generally requires minimal pruning. Deadhead spent flowers to keep the tree looking tidy.
