Note: Our nursery carries male and female Kentucky Coffee trees. Our trees are younger and not separated; you will receive either a male or a female upon delivery.

• Male trees will lack flowers but have an elegant vase shape with a narrow crown and draping branches. Similar to understory trees but without sacrificing the height.
• Female trees feature rose-scented flowers that turn into large seed pods for seasonal interest, and the large size means easy cleanup for you!

Planting & Care

The Kentucky Coffee can be planted in any soil condition as long as it's in a location that receives full sun. Plant in a hole twice as wide, though just as deep as the root ball. Mulch around the canopy, but not near the trunk. The mulch will help the tree maintain moisture. Plant away from power lines, structures, sidewalks and sewer lines.

Watering: This tree can tolerate wet or dry conditions. Be sure to water the tree weekly in its young life to ensure proper growth.
