A profusion of lavender flowers cascades down weeping stems in springtime, setting the Lavender Twist® Weeping Redbud apart. This cultivar of the native redbud tree takes the traditional upright form to the next level with its flowing habit.
With the Lavender Twist®, you get unmatched beauty. This is truly a four-season plant of interest, so you'll never grow tired of watching it transform from one season to the next. It's no wonder why the Lavender Twist® Weeping Redbud earned the 2009 Georgia Gold Medal Award in the tree category for its outstanding merits as a superior ornamental plant.
With this tree, you not only get seasonal interest but also virtually no upkeep since it's got pest tolerance and cold hardiness. In fact, the Lavender Twist® typically enters dormancy before the first fall frost, increasing its survivability in harsh winter climates. So, no matter where you live or where you plant, this Redbud grows above and beyond.

1. Planting: Simply plant your Redbud in full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil.
Dig a hole that's about three times the size of the rootball, place your tree, backfill the soil and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: During the establishment period, water as needed. Redbuds do not need excessive water to thrive as they are very drought tolerant.
3. Pruning: There’s no need to prune the Redbud, but if you want, you can prune in the dormant season to get rid of any unwanted branches or growth.
