Planting & Care

1. Planting: Philodendrons will grow best in a temperature range of 60-85°F (15-29°C) and bright, indirect, or filtered sunlight. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, especially during mid-day hours, to prevent scorching. Morning or evening sun helps Philodendrons flourish in winter. They will tolerate low light but grow slower and have less vivid coloration.

2. Watering: Philodendrons prefer higher humidity but can adapt to ambient household humidity. Use a humidifier or pebble tray to maintain humidity above 50%. Water the plant when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry, and avoid leaving it sitting in water for too long after watering.

3. Fertilizing: When actively growing, feed your Philodendron once a month at half strength. During the winter months, reduce frequency of fertilization. If no new leaves are growing, fertilization is not necessary.

4. Pruning: Prune this climbing philodendron in spring/summer for vigorous growth. Provide a moss pole, trellis, stakes, or other structures for it to climb as it produces aerial roots that cling to structures.
