These exquisite flowers bear a striking resemblance to a bird's head, adding a unique touch to your indoor decorating! In addition, this beauty has a tall growth habit reaching up to 7-8 feet and boasting enormous, lush green leaves. It's ideal as an indoor plant in colder climates, or can turn heads outdoors in warm climates.

New to gardening? No problem. The White Bird of Paradise is renowned for its disease and pest resistance, making it an easy choice for gardeners of all skill levels. Simply adorn your living room, office, or sunroom and enjoy its breathtaking foliage without the stress of constant upkeep!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Incorporate topsoil or organic peat humus into the planting hole. Consider supplementing with composted cow manure for added nutrients to promote healthy growth. This plant thrives best in full to partial sun.

2. Watering: Water your plant monthly using distilled water, applying approximately 16 ounces (473 ml) per session with a spray bottle, watering can, drainage hole, or measuring cup to prevent mineral buildup and browning of leaves.

FGT Tip: Browning along the leaf edges can be from chemicals in tap water. If you notice browning leaves, switch to filtered water, or let your water sit out overnight before watering your Bird of Paradise.

3. Fertilizing: Apply a high-quality granular fertilizer three times annually: in spring, summer, and fall.

4. Pruning: Trim off old leaves and stems as needed to promote future growth.
